What are some of the most exciting new products that contain cannabis in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that most cannabis users should consider but may not be aware of?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s all kinds of stuff coming down the pike now. We’re at that stage now in New Mexico<\/strong><\/a> where the drought \u2013 the first year drought \u2013 is starting to end and more and more products<\/strong><\/a> are hitting the shelves, which hopefully soon will drive prices down as there’s more supply to meet the ever-growing demand. Some of the more exciting products<\/a> that I’ve seen are live rosin cartridges and live rosin edibles. Rather than live resin which is an alcohol extraction, or distillate, which is a light hydrocarbon extraction \u2013 usually using propane or butane \u2013 in contrast to those, live rosin doesn’t use any solvents at all. It\u2019s just heat and pressure used to extract the THC. And as I understand it, a lot of the terpenes come with the THC in that extraction so they don’t have to be added in later. That means it’s more like a whole food. It’s a complete product<\/a>. It also means that it’s sourced. We know where that cannabis<\/a> came from and that cannabis<\/strong><\/a> has been tested for all of the potential pesticides and residuals. Other terpenes that are called \u201cfood grade terpenes\u201d are not sourced from cannabis<\/a>. They’re gonna be sourced from, oh like, linalool from lavender and myrcene from hops and limonene from orange rinds. And they are not as, well, they’re not cannabis. It’s the same molecule, but from a different plant. So if they’re looking for something like a whole food, live rosin is gonna be preferable. I find that the high with live rosin is much more of an unfolding, changing experience rather than the one-note experience that vaporizers and edibles so often provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
