What Was it Like to Get Started in Cannabis at the Beginning of the Industry in New Mexico?
It was exciting when we were first licensed in August 2022, we were licensed as couriers and we had a producer license which allowed us to travel state and do some wholesales. So we started out, meeting everybody and finding out where that really good quality product is and helping make connections between producers, manufacturers and retails that way. Great products can get exposure. And so about a year ago, we got a retail license, and we took that knowledge from when we first got licensed into the retail license and brought that to the people of Santa Fe with customer delivery.

We started out the gates with a courier license and we were doing couriering only for a while, you know, couple of years ago, and it really gave us a bird’s eye view of the of the supply and the demand, because we were doing business to business courier services where we were meeting new producers, new manufacturers, new retailers, people who had brand openings and doing courier service for them.
That really gave us the lay of the land for the supply and the demand. Like, Lila said. We got the producer license cause, we thought. We really, we really should start doing wholesale.
10 years, just to be 10 years ahead of the game. and and what his experiences were as a owner and his pitfalls, and I took. And so we we created such valuable relationships and and volume discounts with this with the pure volume that we were doing for wholesale purchasing.
So we kind of ended up taking those relationships and those like distribution price points directly into retail. To have a cost savings to customers for retail.
Where Did You Get Started?
For courier it started out pretty much. Yeah. A lot of north to south, like Santa Fe, Albuquerque, where all the good quality products reside to Las Cruces on land, you know, out by Santa Rosa. So that was the the majority of our our courier and wholesale was statewide. In those in those kinds of directions for retail, we focus on Santa Fe and the surrounding area.
How Would You Describe the First Years of Delivery Service?
It actually it went great, and me and Lila, you know we created a a foundation with our legal council to make sure. You know, we check all those regulatory boxes. But launching retail was great. It was great because we have a different perspective than I would say the vast majority of the people in the industry for for retail, especially, whereas it’s not always about the money. It’s not a get rich, quick scheme.
We truly developed relationships where we could find superb quality products, higher quality products than what is typical in in a traditional brick and mortar dispensary and keeping. One thing is our one thing in mind, as our goal, which is like Lila, likes to say, flower to the people we focus on bring on the true point of this whole idea of marijuana, recreational marijuana.
