New Mexico CBD Education 2024

New Mexico CBD Education 2024

CBD really seems to help with anxiety and it seems to help with inflammation. If there’s an antidote for cannabis for THC, it may be CBD by keying into those same receptors. Is there anything you can speak to for people like me that don’t know that much about it, about the endocannabinoid system and CBDs role?

I take it to a really grand scope when I talk about CBD in general and when I talk about cannabis, I typically am also talking about plants and the plant kingdom in general. There’s so much we don’t know. As you said, it’s not just you, it’s all of us technically and hopefully on a federal level there’ll be some changes that allow us to dig more into the science of cannabis. That’s the dream and the vision and to really give cannabis the opportunity I think it deserves to help quality of life around the world. So when I answer that question, I typically pull it all the way back into the plant kingdom. In general, there are many, many beneficial plants that we know very little about. In fact, most of the data that I refer to, and I’ll put that in quotations because in the Western mind we think of data as scientific, technical, peer reviewed.

CBD & New Mexico

From where I come from and my belief structure being raised the way I was here in northern New Mexico, it really is about lineage and tradition for me speaking to ancient practice that has been going on for eight and 10,000 years when you’re speaking to Chinese traditional medicine, and then even Western herbalism, which is a little bit younger, but in general we’ve been doing this with plants for eons and I think there’s this resurgence of interest in CBD and cannabis via medical and recreational markets, which is a beautiful thing. But I think the greater topic that a lot of people will start to tune into as they learn from people like yourselves and from dispensaries like Kure who are really educating is that the plant kingdom has been our friend and ally forever really. So speaking to CBD particularly I see like I do a lot of other plants and compounds in other plants, is that it’s meant to do the job it’s meant to do.

Data, Science & CBD

I’m a pretty data-driven guy as well. So marrying the two can be a challenge sometimes the natural and the data and the science, but I love to have both When I have both. I feel really good about my belief structure. So looking at what is being said around the country, around the world, about CBD and the word of mouth, essentially that kind of lineage practice, that tradition of handing it sideways to a friend or a son, a daughter or to a mother grandma is what’s happening now with cannabis and what has happened for thousands of years with plants in general. So the benefits of CBD are a myriad. I believe CBD is technically an adaptogen that it’s able to find and seek out imbalance in the body and figure out how to address that. Again, the western data is not there, but it’s been used for many, many, many generations to do work like that in combination with other plants and the plant kingdom in general.
